Rupert Maude is the Commercial Director of Grupo El Ciruelo in Spain, a major grower, packer and exporter of table grapes and stonefruit based in Murcia.
Rupert left the UK for Spain over 25 years ago when he relocated to work with a large UK grower of vegetables and salads. Enjoying the experience so much, he stayed, married his Spanish teacher and had a daughter.
Rupert has worked in many areas of the fresh produce business; from salads, vegetables and herbs to flowers, almonds, garlic and fruit. For the last 15 years, he has specialised in table grapes and stonefruit.
Rupert’s career in the industry has enabled him to travel extensively and meet a diverse range of people.
