Alejandro Fuentes studied Food Industry Engineering at La Molina National Agrarian University and received an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management Northwestern University, specializing in Strategy, Finance, New Business Development and Marketing.
He has led the management teams of several important companies, including the Commercial Management team of PAMOLSA (Grupo Carvajal) from 1996 to 2000, a leading Peruvian producer and marketer of disposable packaging.
In 2002 he joined the CARGILL Inc, one of the largest private companies in the world, holding different positions including Food Manager for Aquaculture in Mexico.
In June 2008, Fuentes decided to take on a new challenge, working for Hochschild Mining, the only Peruvian mining company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Since June 2009, Fuentes has held the position of General Manager of the agricultural export company Agricola Don Ricardo SAC, a leading company in the production, processing and export of seedless table grapes, tangerines, oranges, avocados and blueberries.
He has been President of Peruvian table grape association Provid and as well as Director of Procitrus and Prohass. He is currently a Director of AGAP and Provid. Additionally, in 2013 and 2014 he was the Leader of the Agroindustrial Sector during the Annual Convention of Entrepreneurs, CADE.
